This
mandala began as an 8 inch square in photoshop with a transparent background.
The square was divided with guide lines at 4 inches both horizontally
and vertically.
I then used the polygon lasso tool and made a rectangle from the center
point of the image to the top right corner.
I began drawing using the regular lasso tool loosely to make shapes and
added circular color fills - making my own color fills in various shades
of orange, red and yellow.
When the quadrant was finished I did some color, hue, saturation, levels
until I got it where I liked it.
Then I began piecing the mandala together by duplicating layers and flipping
them by horizontally and vertically.
I combined all the layers together and did further tweaking to the image
including using a FlamingPear solar flare filter which I added over the
center of the image.
I also used the gaussian blur filter by first creating a circle, then
inverting the circle and adjusting the gaussian blur which is on the outer
part of the image.
